Welcome to the Akron-Canton Shambhala Center

 psl

The Akron-Canton Shambhala Meditation Center is a part of an international community of urban meditation and rural retreat centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche and headed by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche. We are part of a global community which aspires to awaken kindness, goodness and wisdom within society.

This vision is rooted in the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness.

We invite you to explore our diverse programs designed to help people of all traditions discover their inherent sanity, gentleness and humor.

Our main Center is located at 1707 Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls.  Plenty of free parking is available.

Our Canton Satellite Center is located at 2401 Whipple Avenue,  near Belden Village.

A group meets in Fremont on Saturdays. Please contact mellis@elo-law.com for more information.

Shambhala Training Level I Retreat

Through the practice of meditation, we glimpse unconditional goodness as the ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings.

Please join us for this weekend retreat, where we will learn mindfulness-awareness meditation practice, and engage in group and individual instruction and discussions on how to apply meditation to our everyday lives.
