The Akron-Canton Shambhala Meditation Center is a part of an international community of urban meditation and rural retreat centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche and headed by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche. New to Meditation?

Meditation Instruction is available at no cost. If you are new to meditation or haven’t meditated at Shambhala please come 30 minutes before Wednesday 7 PM meditation (arrive at 6:30) or 30 minutes before Sunday 10 AM meditation (arrive at 9:30) for instruction.

Dharma Discussions

A book discussion group, Dharma Discussions, meets every Wednesday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 just after open meditation at 7:00. There are no requirements. It is open to everyone.
